Pine is a coniferous evergreen tree and is a member of the Pinaceae family native to the Northern Hemisphere. Pine Pollen comes from the catkins or male reproductive organs of the pine tree. It is produced by the tree every spring to early summer. Pine Pollen from all Pine trees is edible and available during a 2-3 week window in springtime from remote high elevation forests.

Pine Pollen has been used in Traditional Chinese Medicine dating back over 2000 years as a whole-body tonic and as a Jing (a tradition in TCM) enhancing tonic food that increases vitality. Pine pollen is rich in nutrients including Vitamins B1, B2, B6, E, C, D2, D3, A, nicotinamide, folic acid, B-carotin, potassium, sodium, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, manganese, copper, zinc and selenium.

Historically, Pine Pollen use has been traditionally used for a variety of conditions, most notably balancing hormones and having an adaptogenic effect on the body.  With over 200 bioactive nutrients including 20 amino acids, Pine Pollen is a powerful superfood and has been consumed as a powerful nutrient source for over 2400 years.

How to use:

Add 1/2 to 1 teapsoon to hot water to make a tea infusion, or add to smoothies or other beverages and food. Take one to two times daily.
