Holiday & Winter Tea Recipes

Here is a lovely tea recipe that captures the warmth and tranquility of the holiday season while helping you manage any hustle and bustle. Holy Basil and Linden are gentle warming herbs that support heart health. Holy Basil is also an adaptogen which helps the body adapt to physical and emotional stress. Chamomile and Lemon Balm are gentle calming herbs which also support digestion. Cinnamon and Ginger provide enhanced warming properties as well as anti-inflammatory benefits. For a light sweetness, add unpasteurized Honey. Spend a cozy evening with a cup of this relaxing tea.

Holiday Peace Tea Blend

Ingredients for one cup of tea:

½ tsp Chamomile

½ tsp Lemon balm

½ tsp Linden

½ tsp Holy Basil

¼ tsp Cinnamon bark pieces

¼ tsp Ginger (dried or fresh)

Optional:

½-1 tsp unpasteurized Honey

Instructions:

  1. Combine ingredients in a tea strainer
  2. Add boiling water to cup
  3. Steep for 10-15 minutes
  4. Enjoy!

 

Winter Teas

Winter Elixir

Try this delicious vitamin and mineral enriched tea. It’s warming for the digestion and full of antioxidants and healthy immune benefits.

1 cup of Honey Bush tea

½ cup of Red Rooibos

¼ cup Cardamom pods

½ cup of Star Anise

½ cup of Rose hips dried

1 cup of dried Orange find

¼ cup of Eucalyptus leaf

Instructions:

  1. Combine ingredients in a tea strainer
  2. Add boiling water to cup
  3. Steep for 10-15 minutes
  4. Enjoy!

Winter Spice Tea

Enjoy the pure winter notes of this refreshing, spicy and rejuvenating tea. Enjoy the simplicity of these flavours plain or enjoy it with honey or even lavender honey for a sweeter winter treat.

1/8 cup of Ginger root

½ cup of Cinnamon chips

½ cup of Orange Peel

½ cup of Elderberries

½ cup of Spearmint leaves

½ cup of Tulsi (Holy Basil)

  1. Combine ingredients in a tea strainer
  2. Add boiling water to cup
  3. Steep for 10-15 minutes
  4. Enjoy!
