Hot Mulled Wine Mix

Ingredients: Cinnamom bark c/s (

Cinnamonum zeylanicum), 

Lemon peel c/s (

Citrus limon), 

Orange peel c/s (

Citrus aurantium), 

Allspice whole (

Pimenta dioica), 

Clove bud whole (

Syzygium aromaticum). 

Decoction: In a liter saucepan, simmer 2 tbsp of mix with 1/2 a cup of brown sugar (sugar is not neccesary) and 1/2 cup of boiling water for 10 min stirring occasionaly. Add one bottle of wine, non alcoholic wine or fruit juice. Keep warm below boiling, add orange and lemon slices and serve.

A traditional winter holiday flavouring for hot wine or apple cider.
