Exfoliators are skin smoothing and perfecting treatments for the skin made with gentle and natural polishing ingredients.
Exfoliation has been a routine part of skincare through the ages. The ancient Egyptians were known for the practice of exfoliation. In the Middle Ages, wine was used as a chemical exfoliant, with tartaric acid as the active agent and in Asia, the practice of exfoliation started hundreds of years ago. “Exfoliate” comes from the Latin exfoliare (to strip off).
Exfoliating brings a glow back to your complexion by getting rid of dead skin cells and cleansing pores clogged by impurities. Exfoliation oxygenates your skin, softens its texture, and stimulates the regeneration of cells while also prepping it for your moisturizer, which will penetrate more deeply.
