Hydrosols, also known as Floral Waters, is the water used during the steam distillation of plant material in order to obtain the essential oil. The term hydrosol is Latin for water solution. Hydrosols possess certain qualities and enchanting plant essences but are much milder making them a wonderful ingredient for pampering skin or a lighter option for an aromatic spray. Floral waters are, to a high degree, adaptable. They are an ideal safe introduction for the novice aromatherapist to appreciate the therapeutic advantages of essential oils.

Chamomile (Matricaria recutita) water offers the ultimate in pure comfort and gentle peace. It is the most soothing and delicate of all the hydrosols, making it an absolute miracle worker for highly sensitive, red, inflamed, or reactive skin types, as well as minor skin irritations. Mind: It is a profound sedative for a restless mind.
